Database design and development

Ellipse offers a professional database design service. Many novice business users greatly underestimate the usefulness of databases. We have found this is usually caused by a lack of understanding of how databases work and of the applications to which they can be put.

We can develop database systems of any size from small Access databases to large intranet/internet databases. We usually advocate the use of browser based database systems due to their flexibility. (A browser based database system uses a standard web browser to access its features.) These do not require a connection to the Internet to function but can be run on any machine using a web server. The advantage of such a system is that they can easily be used to construct a database driven website at a later time.

As in all our projects, Ellipse will involve the user as much as possible in the design process ensuring that the resultant database reflects their business requirements.
